My last essay for this class......

Poverty Stereotypes and how they keep us down
There is lot of stereotypes that we see on the internet. There are stereotypes that are geared for all types of races, and financial backgrounds. For a lot of people it’s really funny but for in reality its one of the worst things that this world has. Sometimes we make fun of other races because we have those same problems like them. But since stereotypes exist even in politicians, they make law around them to magnify the jokes that we see on the internet today. There is a lot of separatism going on in the states, and we as a country are not doing anything about it, because we are too selfish with each other we want anything in the world. The rich people, the 1 percent is just like you and me, they want everything that they have, and we bash them for it, but if we have the same success, the same cars, the same houses, we would do the same thing in order to keep having money. In a way we are sarcastic on what we say, or in what we protest. We just want the same thing, and we get really salty when other people get more success than we do. The media has some part to do with it, it shows everybody how other people from lower classes are, and when they see them on the street they don’t even spit at their direction, because of the things they see in the media. “America is experiencing the highest rate of long-term unemployment in a generation” (24) When the poor gets viewed in a certain way, they don’t get no opportunities, they get shunned by everybody and they just simply give up, and you just believe that maybe the people are right, maybe you are what they say you are. There is the psychological effect in this as well, they are so weak minded to the point that they cause more crimes, and magnify that stereotype that other people see on face book, or you tube. When they see a Latino on college, they think that they are not going to make it, or that he might do an unnecessary major and go back the fields, people that come from Hispanic countries they tend to just make money, and not pursue an education for no reason. The reason for that is because they prefer to see their sons and their daughters have the success, and just to save up for a house and a car. When they see a Hispanic person, they tend to say that he might be stupid, or its better that he picks oranges, or strawberries, but at the same time those same stereotypes makes us better because then we can prove them wrong. Right now since the people are falling into what the media says about them, their morale decreases, they don’t want to look for jobs, or when they do they can’t find one and give up easily. Then they rely on the government to keep fueling their stereotype until it becomes a reality. Then the economy will keep going to shit, and wonder why is the country is doing really bad, because people just gave up on everything, the 1 percent just keep draining the energy of the 99 percent, and they are just letting them do that because they don’t know that you can beat them since we are more than them, we can overcome them in every single way, they are not smart, they are just rich, we are the ones that has creativity, and innovation.

“Don’t blame Wall Street, don’t blame the big banks, Cain boasted.” if you don’t have a job and are not rich, blame yourself” (82) like I said in other paragraph the only way to get rid of the stereotypes is that you need to prove them wrong, and need to be creative, when the 1 percent know that you guys are formidable opponents and you guys can overcome the rich people and equalize the wealth in the world, when a lot of people have a lot of wealth the economy gets better, when the middle class can find more jobs that work for the rich people, then the united states treasury will stop making dollar bills, or not make dollars bills like that and the value will go up. If the wealth gets equalized then the money that goes for food stamps and ebt, it can go to schools, it can go to more beneficial stuff, but its too hard to break the cycle, one of the methods to break the cycle is convince the 1 percent that its beneficial to use the people who needs jobs to work for them, and to stabilize the economy, we can finally buy houses, we can buy cars without car notes, we can go to college without taking loans, and we finally live the life we always wanted, but just because the rich people want one more mill we have to suffer, and I think that is bullshit. The media also has to stop making other people think that they are like the people on the television, and try to help each. It causes a psychological effect because since the media is really popular people will want the certain type of clothing, or listen to a certain type of music, so when they see shows like Maury or jerry Springer they start acting the same way, or they do the same mistakes that people do on TV. And it’s sad that the TV station takes advantage to make a lot of money, and then they wash their hands, by putting UNICEF commercial of Typhoon Haiyan to keep people watching the trash they see on the TV. The news also makes the people think. The people watch the news and they make them trust the government making them think that the government are good people but in reality they are just like the 1 percent, and they go to them because they know they have the money and cant rely on the lower classes to help raise, because media is the best way to get them to win. It’s a win-win situation. But if we don’t give up then we can beat them and stabilize the economy and be better people.

PUNISHMENT VS. REHABILITATION: A PROPOSAL FOR REVISING SENTENCING PRACTICES

What was the article about?

The Article is about the penal system being flawed, and how we can improve it.

Is prison the best solution for dealing with gang members? Why or why not?

Its the best solution, but at the same its not. The reason that i am in the middle is because in jail they should have rehab programs, and ways to make them into decent citizens, and encourage them that there is a chance for them, that there is a way to get them out of their situation.

In your own opinion, what can we partner with prison to make it more successful?

Psychology Consultation, Prison School, and don't make them feel like they are in a bad place make then feel like they are going to get better not worse.

Talk about something interesting you learned from reading the article?

That in some states like Texas, they promote Rehab 100 percent, and other states like California don't even care about their inmates.

What was confusing and why?

Why the prison laws have to be state? They should be Federal Laws so that all states can follow it and not mess around with the inmates and actually make the difference in society.

Tennyson High School Research.

The school that i did research on its called Tennyson high school in Hayward CA, I graduated from this school in 2011, and when i was there i couldn't find no connections to the books, because the school system was so different to the point that in order to have a better graduation rates, they would just give students a lot of chances, and You can graduate from high school like you haven't done no work at all. There was some teachers in Tennyson that did not care at all, if you didn't wanted to be here they would just let you out, i wouldn't even deal with you.

The counselors are incompetent, i had a personal one since she was affiliated to a academy which is called CMMA (Community Multimedia Academy). You can say there was some segregation in my old school, but it was between academies, not races. There was 5 academies, ATLA, CMMA, X academy, AVID, BayLab. People who were in those academies were rarely friends, and only hanged out with people from our academies. They would send me to recruit freshmen into joining our academy, since we wanted the best minds in the schools. The students who were not in academies didn't get no attention nor tutoring time. All of other academies hated CMMA because we had the best technology in the school, since we were partnered with Adobe Corporation.

Another form of segregation was Halls. Halls were spots that students can socialize. They were 3 Main Halls; C Hall, D Hall, E Hall. C Hall was occupied by X Academy, and BayLab Students, since they had some similarities. E Hall was mostly CMMA and ATLA members, but we didn't get along. Some students who were in ATLA initially wanted to be in CMMA, but because of their grades they got kicked out, so some ALTA students hated CMMA students calling us Arrogant just because we had more resources than the other students in school. D Hall was more like a neutral zone, and any student from any academy would hang out with their friends during lunch. D hall was special because the students who hanged out in there saw academies as just academies, not feuds. I was part of that group, and we had fun in those times. When i was a senior BayLab and X academy got Dissolved due to insufficient resources. ALTA, CMMA, and AVID stands supreme to this day.

In other high schools, nobody really cared if you were a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior, but in Tennyson it mattered a lot. Seniors would be bullies to other classes because they thought they were superior since they were leaving, also they were more much more reckless than other classes. In my freshman year, before i got introduced to academies, they were segregation of classes. Seniors would look at me funny because i dated a junior, because it was unheard of, and i used to be harassed because of it. There was this sophomore girl who really liked me, but i rejected her due to the fact she was just a sophomore and i was a senior and if you saw people from different classes you would get ridiculed by your peers. When freshman Friday came, i had to fight off two seniors, because they wanted to throw me in the garbage, but i didn't fist fight them, but i outsmarted them and ran away.

The students will be bored and not have motivation, to not do homework. College students does not have enough time on their hands, if they have other responsibilities, like paying bills, or paying their college tuition. Plus students just don't like homework, it makes a lot of procrastination among students. Also it will be much more easier on teacher less work at home so that they can spend time with their own families.

Teachers need more time to make better lesson plans, I mean college students also don't like long classes, but there are some advantages. If teachers make the class more interesting, and more fun, then the class will go by really fast since the students will be distracted. Teachers can also cover more of the course and the assignments will be much more earlier.

More hands on learning connect with longer lesson plans, i mean if you make more hands on and less lectures, then the class wouldn't be bored and not care about the course. The teachers can go outside, and have class outside in the fresh air, or have contests, for prizes. It has been scientifically proven that people work harder if you give them a prize.

What in education is out like a wristwatch, "a single function device?"

The system itself is a single function device, its only meant to get a profession and nothing else, and that's good to be honest, i mean in my opinion without education you wouldn't see the industries that you see now. Sometimes you learn about unnecessary things, things that is not relevant to your life. A lot of people think that education is just so that you can a better job, but i can see the bigger picture. The bigger picture is that education is not only so that you can get a degree, its also for you to learn about life in general, history, math, and science are essential parts of life.
